In
1984, Nelson and Sarah Coblentz heeded God's
call on their life and formed the Gospel
Express Evangelistic Team. A few close
friends and supporters assisted them, and
God surrounded them with a seven-member
board of directors to bring guidance and
fulfillment to their vision for evangelism
through singing and preaching. The
headquarters, originally in Lancaster
County, PA, moved to Columbus, NC, in 2000.
The
initial focus of Gospel Express was prison
ministry, but it has grown to become quite
diverse. What started out as just the
Coblentz Family has expanded into a
multi-faceted evangelistic ministry with a
variety of personnel and family ministry
teams. |

While the geographic focal
point remains in the U.S., the ministry has
also expanded to the African countries of
Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya.
Gospel Express is a nonprofit 501-C3
faith-based ministry and is funded by
private donations. |

Our Mission Statement
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of
God and that Jesus Christ gave His life and shed His blood on the
cross for our sins. We believe our only hope for salvation is
confessing our sin to God and believing in the death, burial, and
resurrection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, buried with Him in
water baptism, and raised in newness of life, living under the
lordship of Christ.
We believe that our primary responsibility
in this life is to fulfill the Great Commission given to us by our
Lord Jesus Christ to evangelize the world through the power and
guidance of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:4-8).
Gospel Express Ministries personnel, though
primarily holding memberships in Mennonite churches in their home
areas, are committed to work together in love with all born-again
Christians to accomplish this great task before the return of Jesus
Christ, whose kingdom shall have no end.
